ABOUT MOBVIBE
Some say they have discovered the fountain of youth, others speak of a strange time machine that landed them here from the 60s. Upbeat tunes and guitar riffs full of sunshine, mixed with earth-shaking bass synths that will leave you with a crazy desire to dance. These nu-hippies invaded the radio tuners with their polished vinyl sounds. Some call it Nusixties but others call it a revolution!

"You’ve heard of nu-metal, and now we’ve got “nusixties”. London’s MOBVIBE take the technological advancements of the 21st century and apply them to the songwriting styles popularized in the sixties to create an anachronistic take on the British Invasion. Their debut EP The Nusixties Invasion Pt. 1 is a tight 4-song introduction to the band’s sound, which plays out something like a mix between Beatles’ Merseybeat, Nuggets compilation bands, and the hip affair that populate modern British nightclubs. "
counterzine.com"Mobvibe transform the swirling psych-rock soundscape of the 60s into a more modernized version dotted with surprising indie-pop elements. A cacophony of buzzing psychedelia, Mobvibe’s discography aims to introduce a new genre of music to the world. Welcome to the nusixties."
musicngear.com" MOBVIBE have a real knack for crafting bright, upbeat and infectious cut of colourful indie-pop (...) Take a Look Around is a smiley and charming confection of colourful sounds. It is a sweet and loveable blend of infectious guitar jangle, bursts of frazzled electronics, buzzing synths and snappy drums beats, and all dripping with melody and bursting with radiant sunshine."
barrygruff.com"The groovy sixties, the jubilant seventies, the vibrant eighties, the swinging nineties and the cool – whatever it is that we are living now in… The MOBVIBE seems to have blended all of these decades of qualities into some kind of a all-in-one one-of-a-kind blend. It’s like listening to The Beach Boys if they had made love together in a time machine, speeding up like twenty century ghosts in outer space, launching the sound of the shaker into the new millennium, while also benefiting from the recording technologies of the nowadays. These people from MOBVIBE must be true time travelers, taking the best from all these days, probably on the music drugs that had still been pure"
yeahiknowitsucks.wordpress.com"Their time traveling aesthetic does make for an interesting mix (..) It comes off feeling a bit like 80's electronic indie pop that falls away to a kind of surfy punk meets alt folk like Neon Trees meets the Allah Las"
www.americanpancake.com(Greek) "The songs of this ep are perfect for rock parties every summer. They are loud, pleasant and bright."
tospitimetaparaxena.blogspot.com(French) "Mobvibe gives us a punchy sound for their new ep"
anotherwhiskyformisterbukowski.com(Greek) (Facebook post) "If you listen to "Take A Look Around" from the new (and first) EPs, you will think it came out of The Beatles "Please Please Me" album , while "Desire" is the song that if released in 1969 , would not be missing from Woodstock."
www.louderthanblogs.org(Greek) "Digitally distorted guitars, drum machines with crazy bpms, vocals in call to frantic dancing and a general retro nostalgia with neo-hippie carelessness were the ingredients of the appearance of Mobvibe."
www.ypogeio.gr(French) "If you follow the beautiful Nusixties Invasion in a linear fashion, the sunburn to the ears is unavoidable"
piggledypop.blogspot.com(Facebook post) "A sophisticated track from the rock nostalgia - vintage 60s, that's well devoted for the future Beatlemaniac 2020s. A memorable melody!"
Giveitaspin.gr"If the time travel machine was discovered in the '60s and The Beatles traveled forwards in time into 2013 to record a new album, they would sound like Mobvibe"
www.kickkicksnare.com"it's a slice of retro messy goodness"
ISingInTheKitchen.com"Mobvibe describe their sound as "nu-sixties" which perfectly fits this psych-pop tune"
soundsxp.com"One of the tags on Mobvibe's SoundCloud page in "Nu Sixties", a term we haven't come across before, but it's perfectly apt and an exact fit"
